Venice Carnaval 2014

 The whole winter outfit

New "Pet en l'air', 1760's

I have very few pictures from this trip that I actually like. Overall, I wore my costume for a day and a half, which is disappointing. Weather was terrible, rainy and stuff.  I got the hat from a very cool mask place : http://www.camacana.com/ I'm looking foreward to take some more pictures of this new outfit! Now, on to the next...

I'm thinking about this, light aqua, silk satin, white lace and tulle, something like it.

Another fashion illustration

Made for a fashion school project, this outfit was inspired by Romantism paintings and the ocean :)

What is going on?

I've been to Las Vegas for the national symposium of the Costume Society of America, seen some stuff down there, met lovely people, seen the desert for the first time!, went to a faboulous vintage silk ribbons store owned by a super nice lady, couldn't see the mermaid show :(, and got 4 SCARLETT O'HARA DOLLS YALL MY SET IS SO COMPLETED NOW.

Stole some laces from my mom's so I could finish my Tissot day dress at time for the event. But as you well know, fellow sewers of the world, any projet is never finished so, yeah, sometimes when school is not happening.

Meet the newest addition to my furry children family. A little bengal baby boy called Ernest (in honor of Colin Firth's role in Ernest). He is so adorable, and he talks CONSTANTLY.

Been playing some GTA V (and Zelda, of course).

And sewing my ass off for school.
(and dyed my hair "Little Mermaid" red)
(and working on my youtube Channel, which is gonna be ready soon : TheCostumeBitch)

Tissot dress, part 2

I am still working my way out of this dress, I spent almost 2 weeks ONLY sewing by hand all the hedges, and frills, and lace... I have holes in my fingers. But I am very glad of how it is turning out! It's not done already, but soon.

Also we had breakfast food for dinner

Gettysburg 150th reenactment widow

I had the silly idea of being dressed as a widow for the Gettysburg 150th reenactment, despite the heat, and I survived! I really had a great time, and I'm counting the days to my next Civil War reenactement. This is the only picture I have of me, but enjoy! By the way, Confederate soldiers were amazing on the battlefield! Go get some Yankees!
For this event, I was reenacting with "The Living History Experience", a reenacting group from Michigan. I got to find out what I want to do in life; being a Southern Belle.

That one night I was mad and decided to draw something

Final project

This is the final project I did for this semester. Thanks God I needed those vacations. I want a silicon mermaid tail. Anyway, I work my ass hard on this one and it got an "okay" from teachers. I got pretty mad at the whole "fashion school" thing, the whole concept of "giving a grade" on something as intangible as "creation" and "art" is getting more and more weird to me. Two more years left, then I'll get to draw whatever I want, following my own ideas and concepts.
